Alex Zhu is appointed as the CTO of Nengyao New Energy and will share the experience of solar tracker selection in SNEC
Recently, Alex Zhu, who has more than 15 years of experience in the photovoltaic industry,has become the CTO of Shanghai Nengyao New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred as to "Nengyao New Energy"). He worked as President of GCL Americas, responsible for business of Photovoltaic panels and global energy storage system.
Alex Zhu also led the venture capital investment in Provi Energy. As the director of the company,he helped it transformed from a start-up company to a sucessful provider of integrated energy storage system and winned the 4th place in the world market.
Alex Zhu worked for Suntech in Wuxi for many years, responsible for product development, and created the first product management department in China's photovoltaic industry. He was also one of the most experienced product managers in the photovoltaic industry.
Alex Zhu is very experienced in the fields of technology, products, project development, and marketing. In Nengyao New Energy,he will lead the R&D teams in China and United States, improving solar tracker products, and providing customized solutions for photovoltaic power plants.
This is the first project of Nengyao New Energy and located in Gansu Jinchang. It has been working steady for more than 70,000 hours.
In 2017, the 100MW solar tracking power plants in Yueqing, Wenzhou, was intact and perfectly working after a typhoon of 16 force passed through.
The 50MW project in Ganzi, Sichuan has an altitude of over 4000 meters
The 100MW project located in Baicheng, Jilin Province experienced severe cold weather near minus 40°C
In 2018, Nengyao New Energy contributed 800MW solar trackers to the “PV leader and large demonstration projects”. In 2019, the company participated in the world's first UHV supporting project, and delivered tracking system which were recognised stable and reliable by the cosumers.
In November 2020, the company participated in the SPIC Daqi Project and won the second prize of "scientific and technological progress" in the "Optimaization of Photovoltaic Tracker to adapting the Desert Environment".
Alex Zhu believes that the smart tracker, as an intelligent and efficient product, has significant effect in increasing the power yield in solar power station and reducing the LCOE.
