Nengyao New Energy Technology Corp. Ltd., a top Chinese designer and manufacturer of the single axis PV tracker, completed tracker commissioning for the oEnergy SpA 3MW Maria Pinto and 3MW Chuchao solar power plants in Chile. Both projects are using Nengyao’s Nova 1P tracker. oEnergy SpA developed and built both projects for Reden Solar.

“Nengyao and oEnergy have developed strong partnership throughout the projects execution,” said Ricardo Sylvester, CEO of oEnergy SpA. “It is the first time we used Chinese brand tracker. Frankly, we were impressed by the high quality and timely delivery of the product. In addition, Nengyao’s design expertise and installation support services help ensure the smooth construction of the whole projects”.

“oEnergy is a well-known market leader in Chilean’s solar market,” said Yongyong Ji, GM of Nengyao America Division. “We are proud to be a key partner with oEnergy in Chile. Maria Pinto and Chuchao represent a major milestone for Nengyao. It was the first time we supplied trackers outside Chinese market. Those two projects demonstrate our industry-leading expertise on tracker design, manufacturing and supply chain management.

With several more projects planned for commissioning in early 2021, Chile is becoming a major market for Nengyao.

Nengyao’s Nova 1P tracker offers enhanced construction tolerances self-powered control system, and low O&M cost. Its independent rows design and high slope tolerance minimize site preparation costs while providing the flexibility to install up to 30% more PV per site. With 60-degree tracking angle, Nova 1P tracker provides a significant energy yield gain. It enables PV systems to take full advantage of high irradiance environments in places like Chile.
